Spoken English Proficiency requires a minimum score of 26 in the Speaking section for tests taken before January 21, 2026, or a minimum Speaking score of 5.0 for tests taken on or after January 21, 2026.
A score of at least 6.5 on the IELTS Academic (International English Language Testing System) with no band less than 6.0. The University of Alberta does not accept IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR) results for admissions.
