Engineering or a similarly technical or analytic discipline
We do not require previous design experience for admission. We look for a demonstrated interest in design and the human-centered design process.Be sure to highlight such interest in your past academic project examples, work experience, and personal statement.
Tuition for the 2018-2019 academic year is $18,040 per quarter for full-time enrollment (3-4 credits). EDI requires four full-time quarters: fall, winter, spring, and fall and participation in the Fall Boot Camp ($1000).

Applicants whose native language is not English must also supply scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The EDI program requires a minimum TOEFL score of 95 (Internet-based test)

Official scores for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) General Test (verbal, quantitative, and analytical writing). Results must be sent directly from ETS to The Graduate School at Northwestern University (institutional code 1565). Please note that you do not need to indicate a department code on the ETS form.
